I know some people have already heard this, and i'm sure there will be smart ass remarks to come, but i'll fill in everyone else and like I said, I'm only posting this to warn others as the guy frequently sells stuff i hear.

I am switching to a th400 this winter so all my t56 stuff is for sale.

99 t56- needs rebuilt with a second gear. 4th is so so, could still use. Bearings are in great shape.

So I purchased this used transmission under the obvious impression that it needed a little money put in to it and it would be good to go. A few weeks ago I took it out to have the needed gears replaced and get the whole trans assembled. A few days later, I get a message that the transmission is completely fucked and needs $1100 in parts and that i'd be better off to just buy another one. So we got in touch with the guy I bought it from, explain to him that it is no good and that yes, I am aware that I purchased a USED transmission.. but as clearly stated in that for sale post, i was under the impression it was a USEABLE used transmission. I requested just part of the money back i spent on it since I knew it did need some work and at that point he stopped replying to both mine and Shane's messages.

I sent him a text tonight, just making sure he hadn't changed his mind and decided to give me anything back and telling him I was going to post on the forums about what happened and this is the mature reply i got... LOL
